Author's note: Trinidad, Colorado is a real town and widely recognized as a premier destination for world-class SRS. Resident Dr. Stanley Biber, the world-renowned pioneer of sex-change operations, passed away in January of 2006. He maintained a *regular* small-town practice of delivering babies, treating strep, removing tonsils and popping in an occasional replacement hip. He also performed over 5,800 sex-change operations since 1969.  The town mourns the death of a great doctor, mentor and friend. 

        Interviewing his nurse of some fifteen years, she told me that when he delivered her own child she sighed at the fact she had yet another boy. Dr. Biber jokingly  told her not to worry. "I can fix that". 

        Dr. Biber retired in 2003 and sold his practice to one of his former patients. 

He prays for prey. His prayers have just been answered.
